Metal Drive to Help Restore the 1912 Overland Car

The Friends of Beckman Mill will hold a Metal Drive on May 6, 2017 from noon – 4 at the Beckman Mill in conjunction with their Opening Day festivities.  The proceeds will be used to restore a 1912 Overland car that the group uses for events.

Do Beckman Mill’s Millstones Have Secrets?

Prof. Joe Hannibal, curator of invertebrate paleontology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, brought a team of geologists and paleontologists to Beckman Mill in May 2015 to study our mill stones. Researchers have learned that the 19th century French stones offer an opportunity to study microscopic fossils that are unknown in North America.
